Correlator3D™ Version 1.4

These release notes provide information on the latest posting of SimActive's industry leading software, Correlatord3D™. The software was further enhanced to provide the highest level of precision, performance and reliability.

1. Scanned Films:
   • Correlatord3D™ now supports scanned films. New calibration and exterior orientation file formats were therefore added.
2. Exterior Orientation Refinement:
   • The precision of the module was further improved.
3. Model Updating:
   • The precision of the 3D updates was further increased.
   • The memory usage of the module was reduced.
   • The parameter determining the maximum height variation in the interface is now more flexible.
4. Bare Earth Model Creation
   • A parameter was added for specifying the lateral size of the largest object to be removed.
5. Orthorectification:
   • An "Optimal" button was added to the interface to allow the automatic calculation of the ground sampling distance (GSD) of the input imagery.
   • The memory usage of the module was reduced.
6. Change Detection:
   • The color scheme was modified: negative elevation changes (e.g. objects that have disappeared) are displayed in tones of yellow to red according to their importance (small to large changes respectively), while positive elevation changes (e.g. new objects) are shown in tones of dark to light blue (small to large changes respectively).
7. Input Image Formats:
   • GeoTIFF files are now suported as input. Note that geospatial information included in GeoTIFF files (e.g. projection type, zone number and datum) are simply ignored.
   • Supported formats for TIFF and GeoTIFF files now include RGBA 32-bit (four channels) and 16-bit grayscale (one channel).
8. Miscellaneous:
   • Some log file messages were added or modified and the log structure was redesigned.
