Simactive software FAQ

Why Correlator3D?

SimActive’s Correlator3D™ is renowned worldwide as a high-end data processing software for over a decade. Powered by patented algorithms, the software is unmatched in processing speed, quality of outputs, and simplicity of design.

Who is using Correlator3D?

Clients include thousands of users in more than 50 countries, including governments, militaries and leading global mapping firms. Sample clients are listed below.

How easy is Correlator3D to use?

With a simple, user-friendly interface, no formal training is required. An automated workflow is available for new users, while individual modules and tools can be accessed for advanced users. Moreover, a script mode can be used for batch processing.

How does Correlator3D compare to other tools?

Being at minimum 10 times faster than other tools with fewer hardware requirements makes it more cost-effective. As a professional photogrammetry suite serving the traditional satellite and aerial markets concurrently, Correlator3D™assures survey-grade accuracy.

What kind of imagery can I process?

Correlator3D™ supports any sensor mounted on UAV, aerial, or satellite platforms. The software allows for projects using consumer-grade cameras, medium and large format systems, pushbroom sensors, as well as infrared, multispectral and hyperspectral imagery. The processing workflow is identical for any kind of data.

What can I generate with Correlator3D?

Dense digital surface models (DSM), digital terrain models (DTM), point clouds, orthomosaics, NDVI maps, vectorized 3D features, sensor calibration data as well as refined exterior orientation.

What kind of accuracy can I expect?

The software does not simply assure visually appealing results, but also survey-grade accuracy with detailed quality reports.

How fast can a project be processed?

A standard project of 300 images at 20MP each can be processed completely including AT, DSM, DTM, point cloud, orthorectified images and mosaic, in less than 1 hour on a single standard PC.

What is the maximum number of images that can be processed in a single project?

Correlator3D™ has no limit to the number of images it can process.  As an example, traditional clients using large-format cameras at 250MP per image process 20,000 photo projects in one batch on a single standard PC.

What are the hardware requirements?

Correlator3D™will work best on a standard off-the-shelf PC.  It profits from GPU technology and multi-core CPUs to accelerate processing.

What kind of technical support is provided?

Users are assigned to a technical advisor who will provide tailored solutions. The software also benefits from frequent updates, which are delivered instantly through the interface.

How can I get a trial of Correlator3D?

To facilitate new users’ experience with the software, SimActive offers to process a sample dataset to show project preparation and optimal results through an online demonstration. A demo can be requested here.
