The Department of Natural Resources Purchases SimActive’s Correlator3D™ Software

SimActive Inc., is pleased to announce the acquisition of its Correlator3D™ product by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  SimActive’s software will be primarily used by DNR for forest inventory from aerial imagery.

“Correlator3D™ will allow us to automatically process large volumes of images and to create geospatial data such as DSM”, said Anick Patry from the Forest Inventory Division of DNR.  “The ability to easily generate detailed land information will greatly facilitate the job of our photo interprets, increasing our productivity while reducing the associated costs.”

Designed for speed and ease of use, Correlator3D™ consists of fully automated software tools for the production of digital surface models (DSM) and digital terrain models (DTM), the creation of orthophotos and the detection of 3D changes.  Correlator3D™ is significantly simpler and faster than currently available tools.  Highly trained personnel are no longer mandatory.
