Applications Engineer
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional presence at our Montreal office

Job Description
The Applications Engineer handles advanced technical issues related to the use of Correlator3D™ and acts as a link between the internal support team and the R&D team. The role combines software diagnostics, analysis of complex cases, targeted feature development, product validation, and the operational preparation of software releases, including final builds, installers, release notes, and documentation. The position also includes occasional internal IT support.

Responsibilities and Functions
• Handle advanced technical issues escalated by the internal support team
• Reproduce, analyze, and document complex software behaviors
• Identify probable causes of issues related to data, processing workflows, or the client environment
• Collaborate with the R&D team to improve the product, validate fixes, and contribute to selected features
• Take charge of the operational preparation of software releases: final builds, validation, installers, release notes, and documentation
• Contribute to occasional internal IT support: IT infrastructure, hardware, network, servers, and internet connectivity

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer, software, electrical, or geomatics engineering, or in computer science
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development, advanced technical support, technical quality assurance, or a similar role
• Strong ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
• Experience programming in C++ and C#
• Ability to read code and investigate software behavior
• Ability to effectively use artificial intelligence tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and certain technical investigations
• Good understanding of Windows environments, computer hardware, and networking concepts
• Bilingual in French and English

Assets
• Experience with technical, scientific, geospatial, 3D, imaging, or data processing software
• Experience in image processing, computer vision, mapping, geomatics, or photogrammetry
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, logs, debugging, or equivalent tools
• Experience validating software releases, installers, release notes, or product documentation
