Large-Scale Aerial Mapping Made Efficient with Correlator3D
Phase One, a global leader in aerial imaging solutions, equips its customers—including surveying companies, mapping agencies, geospatial service providers, and defense and security clients—with high-performance medium-format and large-format cameras. These cameras integrate seamlessly with SimActive’s Correlator3D, enabling demanding large-scale photogrammetry projects. Correlator3D offers native support for Phase One’s proprietary IIQ format along with highly scalable GPU-accelerated and distributed processing. This enables end-users to efficiently manage massive datasets (tens to hundreds of thousands of images) from topographic, forestry, mining, urban, and nationwide mapping missions while delivering consistent, high-accuracy outputs.

WORKFLOW
Phase One customers capture imagery with sensors such as the iXM-FS130, iXM-RS series, or large-format systems like the PAS 280 using mission planning that optimizes altitude, overlap, sun angle, and block division for consistency. They import native IIQ files directly into Correlator3D along with EO metadata, perform automated aerial triangulation for precise georeferencing, then generate DSM/DTM, point clouds and orthomosaics through GPU-accelerated and distributed processing, with quality validation ensuring reliable outputs even for statewide or nationwide coverage.
DELIVERABLES
Orthomosaics, digital surface models (DSM), digital terrain models (DTM), dense point clouds and volume/elevation reports.
BENEFITS
Correlator3D empowers Phase One’s clients to turn large-scale aerial imagery into precise, high-value geospatial products efficiently, maximizing sensor performance across diverse mapping applications.
