SimActive Used to Leverage High-Precision Positioning Systems

SimActive Inc. announces the use of its Correlator3D product in support of high-precision positioning systems such as Trimble Applanix. When integrated with lidar and/or imaging sensors, they allow for more accurate map products.

With these high-precision positioning systems, the position of the aircraft is recorded as well as its attitude. By importing the positioning information directly for processing, its precision can be carried through the aerial triangulation (AT) process to produce higher quality DSMs, DTMs, point clouds and orthomosaics.
