The Department of National Defence Adopts SimActive’s Correlator3D™ Software

SimActive Inc., is pleased to announce the acquisition of multiple licenses of its Correlator3D™ product by the Department of National Defence (DND). SimActive’s software is now integrated in DND’s photogrammetric workflows to quickly and easily process large volumes of aerial imagery.

“SimActive’s software processes images in a fully automated way at significantly greater speeds than what is possible with any other competing product”, said Pierre Simard, Engineering Officer at the Mapping & Charting Establishment of DND. “Correlator3D™ will greatly enhance our operational capabilities by removing the need for highly-qualified personnel and accelerating project completion time.”

Maxime Deraspe, Sales and Marketing Director at SimActive, stated, “Sales to a renowned organization such as DND represent a major milestone for our company. DND has highly demanding operational requirements and its adoption of Correlator3D™ clearly demonstrates the advantages of our technology over competing products.”

Designed for speed and ease of use, Correlator3D™ consists of fully automated software tools for the production of digital surface models (DSM) and digital terrain models (DTM), the creation of orthophotos and the detection of 3D changes. Correlator3D™ is significantly simpler and faster than currently available tools. Highly trained personnel are no longer mandatory.
